Hong Kong Activists Dare China to Send in PLA. By Chapman Chen, HKBNews

Updated: Aug 1, 2019

Gist: On 2019-7-31, People's Liberation Army Hong Kong Garrison published an anti-riot drill video in which the PLA gun down seemingly Hong Kong protesters. On July 27, Dennis Prager, founder of PragerU, told Idź Pod Prąd TV, "I believe that China will forcibly suppress the demonstrations in Hong Kong. China is run by communists." Many Hong Kong activists, who carry a testament with them whenever they go to a protest, however, dare Beijing to send in PLA troops and tanks, for it will be MAD -- Mutually Assured Destruction. After the 1989 Tiananmen Square Massacre, President George Bush appeased China and lifted sanctions against it within 3 years. But if the PLA is sent to butcher Hongkongers in 2019, President Donald Trump, who has been taking a hawkish stance against China, will seize the chance and put an end to the Red Dragon. So will other civilized countries, for they all have significant interests in Hong Kong, which has been cosmopolitan for 170 years.

A Congregation of Chinese Forces on HK Border

According to 2019-7-31 Bloomberg, The White House is monitoring what a senior administration official called a congregation of Chinese forces on Hong Kong’s border. On the same day, People's Liberation Army Hong Kong Garrison Commander Chen Daoxiang said, "Recent violent incidents will definitely not be tolerated." On 2019-7-24, China’s defense ministry said it is closely following the developments in the former British colony and pointed out that the HKSAR government has the legal right to call in Chinese military to maintain social order in the city. As Hongkongers are fighting for their freedom and dignity, Communist China may deploy PLA troops in the city just as Germany and Soviet Russia invaded Poland in September, 1939

Mutually Assured Destruction

Many Hong Kong activists challenge China to send in PLA troops and tanks, because it will be MAD -- Mutually Assured Destruction, just that Hong Kong, with its 170 years' of solid foundation, is bound to resurrect while China is bound to remain disintegrated for good. If the 1989 Tiananmen Square Massacre is repeated in HK in 2019, the whole free world will severely sanction China. This time China will not be able to get away with it.

George Bush's Mistaken Appeasement Policy towards China

In 1989, after the June 4th Massacre, President George Bush ostensibly led the free world to sanction China but secretly sent 2 envoys to Beijing to appease Deng Xiaoping, with a view to uniting with Beijing against Soviet Russia, wishfully thinking that China would become democratic once it bloomed economically. In less than 3 years' time, all sanctions against China were lifted. History has proven that George Bush was wrong. China has become the number one threat to America as put by FBI Director Christopher Wray on July 23.

Trump, Pompeo, McGovern & Rubio Warn China

Since taking office, President Donald Trump has been significantly taking on China in various ways, notably by considerably increasing tariffs on China goods. On July 22, President Trump implicitly warned China to "do the right thing" regarding Hong Kong, which was echoed by U.S. Secretary of State Michael Pompeo on July 29, urging the Chinese to “do the right thing” in managing HK protests. On July 24, 2019, US Representative Jim McGovern and Senator Marco Rubio, chairs of the Congressional-Executive Commission on China, issued a joint statement urging the US government to condemn the threat to deploy the People’s Liberation Army in Hong Kong.

1992 Hong Kong Policy Act

So if Xi Jinping deploys the PLA to suppress Hong Kong protests, President Trump will almost certainly take the chance and put an end to China. First of all, the 1992 Hong Kong Policy Act will undoubtedly be canceled. Without HK, China won't be able to exchange its rampantly printed RMB for USD via HKD, won't be able to do money laundering and to steal US intellectual property, commercial and military secrets, either.
